Data Review – Laura Wright and Cayley Holmes

Acadience Middle of Year reading testing results were presented for all grades.  Math results were presented for all grades but 5th grade (the testing window closed the day of the meeting and the results were not compiled yet).

Overall school results were positive and suggests that the current plan is succeeding to get our students above benchmark goals with reading & math.  Growth between BOY and MOY testing was exceptional and already exceeds state goals.

School results were not compared with district or state scores because they were not available.

Preliminary Plan Discussion for 2024-2025

The council discussed the following:

  • Removing the use of RISE data from the 2024-2025 goal as Acadience is used in grades 4-6 now.
  • Increase the Pathway of Progress goal to meet the increased state goal – from 60% to 65%.
  • Decrease the amount allocated to professional development and increase the amount allocated to technology to reflect the changing needs of the school.  When the initial plan was made, the school was brand new and had very little need with respect to technology.  As the school has aged, the smart boards need to be replaced with New Line boards.  There is also a continuing cost of the lease of Chromebooks for teachers and students.

Added Items:

We also discussed possibly reallocating some of the unused professional development funds to technology due to need.  This will be voted on at the next meeting.

  • Next meeting:   Finalize Plan 03/06/2024
  • TBA May meeting to go over end of year data
